 Requirements for the 2016-2017 School Year

K.A.R. 28-1-20 defines immunizations required for any individual who attends school or a childcare program operated by a school. There are changes in requirements for immunizations for the upcoming school year. Please check your child's immunizations to make sure they are up to date.

Meningitis vaccine at age 11 years and a booster at age 16 are recommended. Most colleges require this immunizations before entrance plus it is better to have your child immunized throughout high school. Follow the link to find out more information about the vaccine. HPV Vaccine (a three dose series) at age 11-12 years. This is recommended for both boys and girls. Check with the health department for details. Follow the link to find out more information about the vaccine. CDC HPV information
